Two years after the release of his second album, “Trouble For Me,” and many dancehalls later, Weldon Henson released “One Heart’s Gone” on July 30, 2011. His loyal following of dancers had already been running to the dance floor for songs “Too Much Fun,” “The Road is a Friend of Mine,” and the first single off the record, “Turned to the Bottle.” But, this latest work features a more intrinsic Henson with tracks like “One Heart’s Gone,” and “I Don’t Take Cheatin.” “I was able to capture more emotion and more heart-felt expression in these songs than I was ever able to before. When you combine that with the musicians Eddie Perez, Tom Lewis, Ricky Davis & Tommy Detamore, which I hand-selected for this record, it’s hands down the best record I’ve ever made,” Henson said.
